Another day of struggle for Hope and the Hope family

Emmerdale’s Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) is in a state of brokenness following the loss of daughter Heath Hope (Sebastian Dowling) during a collision with a car at New Year – – and it appears that things are not likely to improve anytime soon for him.

A loss to his son could be enough for a parent to handle, but after the tragedy, Bob took responsibility for his child Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) to blame for the loss of her brother. Cathy was the one who took Wendy (Susan Cookson)’s vehicle to drive her, Heath and Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) to a celebration.

After Wendy and Bob came to meet them, their car was crashing on the side of the road and Heath was dead.

Even though Cathy saying that Angelica was driving at the time the incident occurred, Cathy had been seen driving when they left the village, and Bob did not believe that his daughter wasn’t at fault.

The realization that Angelica was actually the one driving had meant that Bob was able to attempt to make an amends to Cathy and they could also begin to be supportive of one another while grieving for Heath.

However, coming up is an awful reminder for Bob of his loss. The day is Cathy’s birthday. This is of course also been the birthday of her twin brother Heath.

Twins born 2007 after their mom Viv (Deena Payne) had a baby in an abandoned shed in the Moors. Cathy was the first to be born with the help of Bob and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) was there to birth the baby Heath and was has referenced in an episode of recent.Bob’s bond with Jimmy is now shattered after the death of Heath.

The twins are named for the characters of Wuthering Heights because of being born in the moorland.

Viv died by an explosion two years later. The twins raised through Bob along with Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop).

On Heath and Cathy’s birthday, Bob and Brenda feel broken by Heath having to go away longer, yet they’re determined to to keep things in check for the sake of Cathy, being aware of how awful she’ll feel without her twin for her birthday, for the first ever in her lifetime.

There’s also a some comfort for Cathy in the form of Angelica, who is facing an indefinite sentence of custodial for creating a fatal accident through reckless driving – offers to her with a smile of the name of friendship.

The two sisters are trying to help the other while they beg for Heath and contemplate the way a single moment of desperation can cause many hurts.
