Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) is set to get on the wrong side of Cain (Jeff Hordley) in Emmerdale next month when he sets out to steal a car from his uncle’s garage.

The popular character, who has made many an enemy since returning to the eponymous village, was thought to be on the road to redemption after putting to bed his feud with mum Chas (Lucy Pargeter).

A life of crime, however, is yet again on the cards for him after he join forces with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) to form a car-stealing enterprise.

Mack, as viewers know, has been struggling in the wake of Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) cruel blackmail plot which resulted in him losing his beloved son Reuben, and thus he throws himself into working with Aaron to distract from the pain.

Upcoming scenes will see Mack push Aaron to be more daring when it comes to stealing cars, with the pair eyeing up a more expensive motor. The issue, however, is that the vehicle in question belongs to a business partner of Kim Tate (Claire King).

After getting word that Cain currently has access to the vehicle, Aaron forms a plan, with Mack providing the distraction when, on the farm, he claims to Moira (Natalie J Robb) that their tractor has broken down.

Moira summons Cain, who makes a beeline for Butlers, allowing Aaron ample opportunity to sneak into the garage. The plan doesn’t exactly pan out, with Aaron frustrated when he finds the bonnet of the car open with both wheels off.

Refusing to miss out a potentially lucrative deal, he texts Mack, ordering him to stall Cain for as long as possible. Up at the Butlers, the tractor issue is swiftly resolved, with Mark unable to make Cain stay, texting Aaron to warn him.

Little does Mack know, however, that his phone died prior to the message sending, meaning that Aaron is unaware that Cain is on his way back to the garage.

Aaron, meanwhile, steps inside the vehicle but when it doesn’t start he proceeds to work under the bonnet, believing that he’s still got time to find out what the problem is.

But will Cain return in time to find out what Aaron is up to?

That remains to be seen but this appears to be the beginning of a longer story for the two Dingles, with 2024 set to see both parties in a serious situation as a fight goes way too far

Aaron and Cain are not getting on very well at all at the moment, I think it’s safe to say,’ Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw previously told Metro.co.uk

We’ll see some tensions building there between those two leading to a really brutal physical fight between Cain and Aaron in the new year.

‘Which one of those is going to come out on top? Who’s going to win the fight? We’ll have to wait and see if both of them come out still standing.’
