EastEnders confirms who dies in Christmas murder story as Sharon’s wedding day ends in tragedy

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for.

Christmas Day in Walford is an incredibly dramatic one. Perhaps the most dramatic in the show’s 38-year history. Sharon and Keanu prepare for their wedding, with the bride and groom-to-be arriving at the church for the ceremony. Their hearts are full of love and Sharon is a vision in her iconic white wedding dress as she and Albie walk down the aisle together.

It’s set to be a picture perfect day.

That is, until Phil Mitchell receives a surprise visitor, which leads him straight to the church, with the hard-man arriving moments before Sharon and Keanu say ‘I do’.Will the ceremony go ahead?

That remains to be seen, but the wedding day proves more eventful than expected, with Sharon subsequently joining Linda, Denise, Kathy, Suki and Stacey at the Vic as they all attempt to process what’s happened.

It’s here that things take a devastating turn.

The Six’s lives are forever changed as one resident meets his demise in shocking scenes, with EastEnders finally giving us the answers to that epic mystery, which was kickstarted in a historic flash-forward sequence back in February.

But WHO is dead?

Peter Barlow says goodbye in Coronation Street

Christmas on the cobbles proves to be an emotional one. Peter Barlow, one of the Street’s most recognisable characters, is set to depart after 23 years.

The cab driver and cobbles legend is left overwhelmed by Carla’s Christmas gift, which proves to be the catalyst in the couple’s subsequent heart-to-heart. After looking back over their tumultuous relationship, they realise that, though they will always love each other, maybe it’s better that they part ways.

With that, Peter packs his bags and find the whole family waiting for him outside. Exchanging emotional farewells with everyone, he promises Ken that he’ll keep in touch as he bids farewell to Weatherfield.

It really is the end of an era.

Mackenzie’s fate is revealed in Emmerdale

It’s safe to say that it’s not been a very good year for Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd.

The popular character has experienced a rollercoaster of emotions over the past twelve months, marrying the love of his life in Charity Dingle only for his life to fall apart when the truth about his infidelity with Chloe was exposed.

In the middle of it all, however, there was little Reuben. The child he always wanted who has become the shining light of his entire world.

Mack decided to make a go of things with Chloe, going out of his way to right his wrongs and proving himself to be a good dad in the process, but despite his best efforts he couldn’t stay from Charity, who he was still head over heels in love with.

With Charity reciprocating those feelings, the former couple reunited, much to the disdain of Chloe, who has gone out of her way to punish Mack for his actions, using innocent Reuben in her scheme, ripping the father and son duo apart.
