Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away returned to Australian screens on Monday (January 8) and finally confirmed the fate of Remi Carter.

Remi was feared dead when the show aired its 2023 season finale in November, but there was a twist to the tale in the 2024 return episode.

Late last year, Remi was knocked off his motorcycle when a car collided with him in the road.

The two men in the other vehicle panicked over the situation and embarked on a sinister cover-up. Believing Remi to be dead, they tried to bury his body but were interrupted by Remi’s best friend Eden Fowler, who was camping nearby.

Home and Away’s 2023 season ended with the two villains attacking Eden and driving off with her and Remi.

In Monday’s big comeback episode, Eden was held captive in a remote house as the strangers plotted their second attempt to dispose of Remi’s body.

Much to their shock, an unconscious Remi briefly showed signs of movement and was revealed to still be alive.

With the situation now changed, Eden convinced her captors to show mercy on Remi by getting him some help.

One of the men drove Remi to the side of a road and called an ambulance to alert the emergency services to his situation, posing as a concerned passer-by. Before long, Remi was admitted to hospital.

Eden stayed behind with the other man, anxiously awaiting an update on her friend’s fate.

In upcoming scenes, Eden realises that her ordeal isn’t over as her captors are reluctant to let her go in case she identifies them.

As Remi was unconscious throughout, he’s unlikely to be able to share many clues to Eden’s fate even if he makes a recovery. Could it still be the end for Eden?

Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes on Channel 5 in March.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
