A sudden new crush also emerges in the ITV soap
The drama continues in Emmerdale next week with Gus finally facing his fate for stealing Rhona’s embryos, a new couple suffers heartbreak and there’s an arrival from one character’s past that could cause shockwaves.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Tom Kin attacked Vinny Dingle last week when he was disturbed at the scrap yard. In upcoming scenes, Belle King is shocked to see Vinny so battered and stays to care for him.
But with Tom jealous of Belle’s relationship with Vinny he soon finds a way to deliberately belittle him. Later when Belle spots Tom seemingly bonding with Vinny she wonders what he is up to, knowing Tom will have a reason for it.
Soon, Tom reveals he is keen to help Vinny find a girlfriend and enjoys the process of helping him find one. He quickly sets his sights on Gabby for Vinny but arriving Belle is made to feel uncomfortable as Tom enjoys spending time with Gabby.
Elsewhere, Billy Fletcher starts up his PT and fitness business again but it’s a bit of a shaky start given how much he and his wife Dawn are coping with at home. Meanwhile, by doing his classes, Manpreet soon realises she has a crush on Billy.
The next day, Will Taylor and Kim Tate agree to help Billy juggle childcare with his fitness business. But after a mysterious phone call, Will slips away. When Billy is giving Manpreet a physical training session he is too preoccupied with his own relationship to notice she’s flirting with him.
Meanwhile, Will has arrived at the hospital where he is drawn into aroom by hearing a familiar voice, who is regaling the nurses. Moments later, Will comes face to face with Rose, someone he knows of old. Will returns home but despite Kim probing him reveals nothing about where he has been. How long can he keep his secrets from Kim?
Also, Marlon Dingle and Mary Goskirk are shocked when Gus pays them an unexpected visit. He assures Marlon and Mary they’ll still be part of Ivy’s life if he gets a lighter sentence but a skeptical Marlon struggles to believe Gus’ promises. Once home, Rhona and Marlon discuss Gus’ impending sentencing, grateful for each other’s support.
Later, Rhona’s inscrutable as she hands Ivy over to Gus but they agree to put the child first from now on. The next day, Rhona’s apprehensive about Gus’ sentencing day in court. Marlon tries to settle Rhona’s nerves but it becomes clear that Rhona’s worried and thinking things through. Now in court, Rhona begins reading her statement…
Cain Dingle needs help at the garage and forces granddaughter Sarah into helping. Sarah’s furious but begins her shift and is left intrigued by a handsome customer as she fixes his car and as sparks fly, Cain’s left bemused. Charity Dingle’s proud of Sarah’s new job but Mackenzie Boyd’s flustered when Sarah suggests she’s replacing him at the garage.
And Jacob Gallagher is still heartbroken after breaking up with Victoria Sugden. Moira encourages Victoria to find a new job while Jacob struggles to hide his pain as he’s not ready to move on. Leyla Cavanagh tries persuading Jacob to return to his studies as he wants to take a break secretly hoping Victoria will take him back.
After a lunch out with Wendy, Victoria returns to the village and argues with Leyla resulting in her punching her and soon, PC Swirling arrests Victoria for assault. How will Jacob feel to know what has gone on. And has Leyla have blown things with her son?
