Emmerdale viewers could soon see two major characters part ways after the pressure all becomes too much in upcoming scenes.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed Charles Anderson (played by Kevin Mathurin) is set to drop down on one knee and propose to his partner Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) on the ITV soap.
The pair have been together for a considerable amount of time on the serial drama, but Manpreet has always struggled with Charles’ mother Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson)
In scenes yet to air, Claudette unsubtly suggests Manpreet and her vicar son Charles would make a better impression on the new bishop if they were wed.
Later on, Charles ends up implying to the bishop he and the village doctor have plans to tie the knot.

Going through with his word to the bishop, Charles plucks up the courage to propose to Manpreet later on in the week.

Manpreet is taken aback and feels pressured to say yes before an excited Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis) announces the romantic news to the rest of the Woolpack. It looks like there is no turning back now.
With Manpreet feeling rushed into accepting Charles’ proposal, will cracks start to form in their relationship if they go through with planning a wedding?
Perhaps the pressure will get too much for the couple and they will be forced to split.

Recently, Emmerdale viewers speculated Manpreet might have her sights set on another villager – a person she works alongside.
Not long ago, her colleague Doctor Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson) shared a charged moment with receptionist Ella Forster (Paula Lane) while entering work together.
But Manpreet didn’t seem impressed over the thought of a potential romance blossoming between the duo and called for a meeting about appropriate behaviour in the workplace.
Viewers took to social media suggesting Manpreet was clearly jealous of newcomer Ella flirting with Liam.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Ryan penned: “Ella finding out about Wendy and Liam’s affair. That shouldn’t put Ella off Liam though. Manpreet is clearly jealous. #Emmerdale.”
A second fan shared: “Is Manpreet jealous or is this her usual demeanour? This team-building exercise is awful just because Wendy is present. #emmerdale.”
