Emmerdale fans have been left gripped by Paula Lane’s character Ella Forster.
Only recently, soap watchers have been left convinced that Ella and Tom King are in cahoots in a secret revenge mission. Both characters have taken centre stage in recent weeks in separate plots, with them both hiding something.
Tom is hiding the fact he is coercively controlling and manipulating his wife Belle Dingle in scenes that are difficult to watch. Meanwhile, newcomer Ella is hiding something about her life outside of the village which will soon catch up with her.
Taking to social media, Ella actress Paula, 37, has offered fans a glimpse into filming as she shared several updates. Posting a selfie on her Instagram Story from behind-the-scenes, Paula penned: “Fine weather for a village fete @emmerdale” with a camera and umbrella emoji.
In a separate post shared on Thursday, Paula posted a snap of herself in the dressing room with a hot beverage, writing: “Early star” with a clapperboard filming emoji.
It comes as viewers are convinced that both characters Tom and Ella are tipped to be seeking revenge, and now one theory has speculated another big twist.
One idea is that Ella and Tom are linked and are actually working together in a revenge storyline. Not only that but a theory suggests Ella could in fact be Anya King, Tom’s sister.
While this doesn’t appear to be the case as Ella is a separate character, and Tom appears to be younger than Ella, it hasn’t stopped viewers from wondering if the pair are connected. Taking to X, one fan posted: “I definitely think that there’s some kind of connection between Ella the Doctors receptionist and Tom king.
“I wonder could she really be Anya , his sister? They’re both targeting a member of the Dingle family in some way or other. It’s definitely a revenge plot.”

It comes after fans speculated that Ella could also be linked to former villager and serial killer Meena Jutla. Amid claims of a secret link to someone outside of the village, her recent behaviour has left fans convinced there’s more to her arrival.
As a recent episode saw Ella talk about a friend who encouraged her to get into nursing, fans were sure this was another big hint to her possible link to a former village villain. Viewers are convinced Ella could be planning revenge against people in the village, and that she may be linked to serial killer Meena.
After all, Meena’s sister Manpreet and the person who helped bring her downfall, Liam, are both working at the surgery. Ella is getting to know the pair, so could she be targeting them both on behalf of killer Meena?
Fans certainly think so, with one writing on X: “Is Ella there for some kind of revenge?” Another viewer said: “Ella is connected to Meena… who shall be returning soon,” as a third added: “Ella has something to do with Meena.
