ITV has a packed Christmas Day schedule for December 25 including festive episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale
With their rivals bringing out the big guns for the festive period, the pressure is on ITV to deliver the goods and they’ve got a whole host of different shows aiming to tempt viewers to tune in.
It’s the BBC who are expected to clean up when it comes to TV ratings on Christmas Day, as BBC One lines up specials of the likes of Doctor Who, Call The Midwife and Mrs Brown’s Boys, as well as EastEnders getting a lot of attention due to the gripping conclusion of its near year long murder storyline. However, ITV aren’t going down without a fight and they too have a variety of programmes at their disposal.
Highlights of the ITV Christmas listings include a Vera special on Boxing Day, but before then there will be festive editions of popular daytime shows Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning, as well as visits to both Emmerdale and Coronation Street, which are sure to attract plenty of interest.
