Emily Weir has added to her property portfolio.
The Home and Away star has splashed out on a one-bedroom apartment in the upmarket Sydney suburb of Rose Bay.
It is believed to be an investment property for the actress, who already owns a home in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
She paid $680,000 at auction for the modest 46sq m flat, realestate.com.au reported this week.
Rent on the home should net the actress between $680 and $700 a week for the highly sought after area.
Described as ‘fresh and airy with a bright sunny disposition’ the flat is located walking distance to Bondi Beach.
The single bedroom is described in listings as ‘generous-sized’ and includes an en suite bathroom.
The ‘cosy’ apartment features well-presented interiors with a combined living and dining area with a neat and tidy kitchen.
It was last sold in 2012 for $382,000, but was a bargain for the area, with Weir scoring the home for less than half the median apartment price for Rose Bay, realestate.com.au reports.
Seems that things are looking up for Emily, who last year made the painful admission that 2022 was particularly challenging for her and it led to her having a ‘breakdown’.
She told the Herald Sun that a combination of burnout and anxiety saw life become very difficult to manage.
‘I went through a really hard time mentally and emotionally. People call it a breakdown and I call it a breakthrough,’ she began.
‘There was a lot going on for me. Post-Covid a lot of us got into some pretty crazy head spaces and I went through a really low stage.’
Weir then revealed a surprising offer from Channel Seven to appear on this year’s Dancing With The Stars helped her get her groove back.
‘The story of dance is about survival and leaning on your community to help you. I’ve used all those feelings to fuel this dance and it was worth it.’
